Job description

Depot Connect International is the leading independent UK service provider for tank transport & depot services. We operate over 80 modern tractor units, and employ circa 300 people within our network of eight depots.

We're seeking a Financial Controller to join our team on a 12 month fixed term basis, and play a critical role in managing our Finance and Purchasing team. This role is based at our Redcar office. This is a key position within the company, where you will be ensuring compliance, accurate financial reporting and strong financial controls.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the finance and purchasing team, overseeing all accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll and month end processes.
  • Managing budgets, forecasting and financial planning processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory and tax requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business cases.
  • Working with external stakeholders to make sure all external reports are filed on time.
About You
  • Professional accounting qualification (AAT/CIMA/or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to present figures and reports.
