Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and mentor the finance team.
  • Manage month-end close, statutory reporting, audit and tax compliance.
  • Oversee cashflow, working capital and banking requirements.
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to senior operational and commercial stakeholders.
  • Review and challenge budgets, forecasts and expenditure.
  • Strengthen financial governance, controls and documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, processes and reporting.

My client is a leading consultancy based in London seeking a Financial Controller

Based in London my client is a Private Equity backed consultancy that provides strategic guidance and practical support to its diverse range of customers.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Controller will take ownership of day-to-day financial control while helping to establish and evolve a best-in-class finance function.

This is an opportunity for a Financial Controller who wants broad exposure, real influence, and the chance to develop with the business that is pursuing growth organically alongside a buy-and-build strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own financial control across the UK business and group entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting

  • Lead, develop and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture

  • Manage month-end close, statutory reporting, audit and tax compliance

  • Oversee cashflow, working capital and banking requirements

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to senior operational and commercial stakeholders
