A fast growing global company in Cambridge seeks a Financial Accountant to oversee financial reporting processes and contribute to global accounting improvements. The ideal candidate is ACA or ACCA qualified with experience in UK GAAP and IFRS standards. Job description

Pure are currently recruiting a Financial Accountant on behalf of a fast growing global company based in Central Cambridge. This role is ideally full time at 37.5 hours per week however 30 hours per week will also be considered.

This role is due to continued growth and will be taking ownership of financial reporting processes and contributing to improvements across global accounting functions. This is a high-impact role combining technical expertise, strategic input, and autonomy within a supportive and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing financial statements for multiple group entities
  • Supporting group consolidations to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Managing corporate tax activities across subsidiaries, including instalment estimates and coordination with external advisors
  • Assisting with cash flow forecasting, financial planning, and risk assessments
  • Leading the month-end close process and delivering accurate reports
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, journal entries, prepayments, and accruals
  • Overseeing intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations
  • Maintaining accurate general ledger records for multiple entities
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns and corporation tax instalments
  • Supporting year-end close, external audits, and ongoing compliance activities

We are looking for somebody to be ACA or ACCA qualified with a proven post qualified working experience, you must have a strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards. You must have strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships internally and externally.

This role is offering circa £55,000 with an excellent benefits package including discretionary uncapped bonuses, private medical insurance, paid and unpaid sabbaticals based on length of service and much more.
