Overview

Are you an experienced Finance Officer looking for a dynamic, term-time role in a well-renowned school? Do you want to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment where you can make a real impact while developing your skills?

We are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Officer for a highly respected school. This is a term-time role, working five days per week in the school office.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of key finance responsibilities, including invoice processing, petty cash reconciliations, and purchase card reconciliations.
  • Work closely with numerous internal stakeholders, including teachers, IT staff, and other support teams, providing timely financial support.
  • Mentor and support a junior member of staff, helping to develop their skills and confidence.
  • Ensure all financial processes are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in line with school policies.

Ideal candidate
  • Have a minimum of three years’ experience in finance, with strong experience of invoice processing and order procedures.
  • Possess a confident personality and the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Have experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues.
  • Hold an AAT qualification (desirable, not essential).
  • Have previous experience in an educational setting (highly desirable).
  • Be proactive, organised, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
