Finance Manager - International Games
Location: London | Sector: Global Sports & Entertainment

The Role

  • Commercially focused Finance Manager supporting the delivery of international regular season games for a major global sports league.
  • Acts as the key finance business partner to Events, Operations, and Ticketing teams involved in staging games abroad.
  • Reports into the Senior Manager, based in London.
Experience & Attributes
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 2+ years post-qualification experience; Big 4 background preferred.
  • Proven experience within international and multi-currency environments.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking expertise.
  • Clear and confident communicator-comfortable engaging with non-finance stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Solutions-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Highly analytical, well-organised, and detail-driven.
Key Responsibilities
  • Full ownership of profit and loss accounts for international games across Europe.
  • Lead management accounting processes, including business planning, long-range forecasts, and quarterly updates-presented to senior leadership.
  • Finance business partner to cross-functional teams delivering international events.
  • Review and sign off on key commercial contracts, assessing P&L implications.
  • Support financial modelling and strategic reviews for potential new market expansion.
  • Oversee settlements with clubs, stadiums, ticket agents, hotels, and partners.
  • Assist with invoice and purchase order review processes.
  • Contribute to quarterly close activities: P&L variance analysis and balance sheet reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with internal functions including Group Finance, Club Finance, Tax, Internal Audit, and Legal.
  • Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, policies, and risk management procedures.
