This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the organisation's financial strategy and operations, while also supporting governance, HR, and administration functions.

What you'll do

  • Lead the organisation's financial strategy, reporting, and day-to-day operations.
  • Manage the preparation of budgets, management accounts, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee cash flow, statutory returns, and financial controls across the organisation.
  • Act as strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on all financial matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement of finance systems, controls and reporting tools.
  • Represent the organisation at internal and external finance meetings and ensure regulatory compliance with Charity Commission and Companies House.
  • Support fundraising applications and financial reporting to funders and donors.

About you

  • AAT / ATI qualification, or equivalent knowledge through experience.
  • Minimum 12 months experience managing finance functions.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Proven experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial info to non-finance stakeholders.
  • High-level IT literacy, including Excel and accounting software.
