Job description

An international offshore heavyweight is looking for an experienced finance lawyer for its Cayman Islands practice. If you crave a complete change of scene but are wary about compromising your career, this could be your answer.

The practice spans the full range of finance work and is likely to include acquisition, leveraged and funds finance as well as more general structured finance/debt capital markets work. Once you know the ropes, you will be encouraged to take a lead on matters, getting hands‑on experience and enabling you to build your network of contacts in the market. It’s an ideal environment for someone who enjoys a varied and fast‑paced practice and who thrives in a client‑facing role.

Requirements

• Overseas qualified lawyers must be admitted in the UK or an equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia, New Zealand or Canada).
• Likely to suit someone with 5-6 years’ PQE.
• Experience of high‑value finance work is essential, but the firm is happy to consider finance generalists or those with more targeted finance expertise in one of the core areas.
