Responsibilities

Your new role

You'll provide support to the Managing Director in providing strategic and financial direction and support to wider management team in the business.

What you'll do
  • Provide management accounts and key financial analysis on a monthly basis
  • Attend all Board meetings
  • Support the MD as a pro-active member of the senior management team
  • Manage the finance function
  • Attend and contribute to monthly board meetings
  • Responsibility for ensuring the timely production of statutory accounts (working with Group finance to co-ordination year end audit and corporate tax work)
  • Ensure standardisation of robust internal financial processes/reporting across the companies in respect of cash management and working capital management, and all aspects of governance and compliance, including all aspects of taxation
  • Drive the budget preparation and presentation process to support the MD
  • Manage cash and ensure in line with Group parameters
  • Compliance with all Corporate tax payments and submission of all returns, including VAT and CIS
  • Assist in preparation of papers for Board meetings
  • Continually assess the robustness of the information technology systems and process
  • Maintain an active and productive link to the Commercial function to ensure compliance with procedures and impact on financial outcomes
  • Ensure financial rigour around all potential development opportunities – and ensure financial checking of all supply chain
  • Keep up to date technically with aspects of accounting and tax, especially those with direct impact on construction
  • Ad hoc analysis as required
