Overview

This is a senior role for a market leading business in a growing sector in the UK. The Finance Director will lead the finance function for the business area, reporting directly into the board of directors/owners and supporting growth with commercial insight.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all financial aspects of the business, reporting directly into the board of directors/owners
• Responsible for shaping the finance function, including resourcing, systems and processes
• Providing support and guidance to help ensure the company’s plans are viable and in line with financial objectives
• Responsible for developing the company’s finance strategy
• Leading the finance team
• Identifying, assessing and minimising financial risk

Qualifications

• Strong finance leader with hands-on experience leading a team
• Experience working in the construction industry or something similar would be advantageous but not essential
• A professionally qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) would be ideal
• Strong initiative, drive and ability to meet deadlines
• The commercial experience to drive the business forward
• Proven ability to negotiate to achieve best value
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a wide variety of contacts
