6-month Fixed Term Contract as a Finance Business Partner in the education sector, providing critical support during a transition period. Partner with budget holders to ensure accurate month-end reporting, forecasting, and deliver commercial insight.

Client Details

Based in Canterbury, my client operates within the education sector - previous education experience for this role is not essential.

Description
  • Manage a portfolio of budget holders, ensuring strong financial engagement and accountability.
  • Bridge resource gaps in planning, reporting, and analysis to maintain continuity and quality of financial outputs.
  • Ensure month-end accuracy and integrity of financial results.
  • Drive forecast accuracy through robust assumptions and proactive challenge.
  • Support projects focused on areas of concern regarding data and reporting accuracy.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting for designated areas, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Deliver clear, actionable commentary on financial performance, highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommendations.
Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A full Accountancy Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) - please note we cannot consider applicants who are Qualified by Experience or still studying.
  • Proven experience in commercial finance business partnering; alternatively, strong audit experience will be valuable given the projects focus on improving reporting accuracy.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
  • Availability to start at short notice.
