Job summary

A financial solutions provider near Witney is seeking an interim finance business partner. This fully office-based role requires experience in management accounting and strong commercial awareness, ideally within the food manufacturing sector. Responsibilities include supporting financial teams, analysing costings, and assisting with budgeting. The position offers a pay rate of £250 - £300 per day, convertible to a yearly salary of £55k - £60k, with potential for a long-term contract.

Job description

We are working with a client based near Witney looking for an interim finance business partner. This role is ideal for a commercially-minded individual with a strong background in management accounting, eager to contribute to financial process improvements and robust financial reporting.

This role will be fully office based supporting the finance manager and finance director. It will be for a minimum of 3 months with the potential to extend. In an ideal scenario they are looking for someone to join them as a temporary to permanent basis.

The pay rate will equate to £250 -£300 per day inside IR35 but might be based on a £55k to £60k salary.

Daily role responsibilities:

• Support the accounts receivable and payable teams with queries and processing
• Review and authorise farm crop costings produced by the central accounts team
• Produce and support weekly and monthly accounts and assist with year-end reporting
• Support reporting into the main group and explain main variances to budget
• Analyse movements in materials, labour, and stock; support cost control initiatives
• Partner with production, supporting them to understand their financial figures
• Manage capital expenditure reporting and post-project evaluations
• Assist with forecasting and budgeting cycles across departments
• Maintain and reconcile stock accounts and fixed assets
• Assist with ad hoc projects to support senior finance

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Fully qualified Accountant (CIMA or ACCA) or QBE
• Comfortable working with high volume data in a pressurised environment
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in the food industry
• Good experience in cost control and labour cost analysis
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to partner effectively with production
• Advanced Excel skills with experience working on ERP systems
