About: As the UK's largest MGA (Managing General Agent), we sit at the forefront of the insurance industry. With an innovative spirit, ambitious growth plans, and a people-first culture, we've built a strong reputation for expertise and service. Our journey is one of continuous expansion, delivering outstanding results and creating opportunities to shape the future of insurance.

The Role

As a Finance Business Partner (FBP), you'll play a pivotal role in supporting senior leaders across the business. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll provide real-time financial insight, challenge thinking, and influence decision-making to drive performance and deliver results.

This role is highly business-facing, combining hands-on financial analysis with strategic input. You'll work closely with the COO, Heads of Functions, and the Finance Director, ensuring financial plans are aligned with operational objectives while continuously looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the COO and functional leaders (Claims, Customer, Broker Services, Fraud, Operational Excellence, Policy Ops) to provide financial insight and support.
  • Deliver monthly reporting, analysis, and commentary to ensure business performance is well understood and issues are addressed.
  • Lead the forecasting and annual business planning cycle, aligning financials with operational targets and resource requirements.
  • Drive expense reviews across business areas, modelling financial implications of changes and highlighting cost-saving opportunities.
  • Build financial models to assess new opportunities, supporting commercial decision-making with scenario planning and recommendations.
  • Improve the impact of financial reporting on business performance through actionable insights.
  • Support ad-hoc projects, year-end audit, and group-wide finance initiatives.
  • Champion efficiency, challenge ways of working, and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer duty requirements.
About You

We're looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance and strategy - commercially minded, confident in influencing, and comfortable operating with senior stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Insurance industry experience (MGA background desirable).
  • Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA (or equivalent).
  • Strong FP&A or business partnering background.
  • Advanced Excel with proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing ability; able to explain finance concepts to non-finance colleagues.
  • Commercially astute, resilient, and motivated to succeed in a fast-paced, changing environment.
