Qualifications

  • Qualified AAT or Bachelor's in a relevant field required.
  • Advanced skill with Office programmes, particularly Excel is essential.
  • Previous experience working with large datasets is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Ability to manage competing and changing deadlines necessary.
  • Excellent attention to detail imperative.

  • Support Finance Business Partner and Manager, maintaining processes.
  • Handle ad hoc queries and ensure timely reporting requests.
  • Utilize existing reporting suite to provide detailed reporting.
  • Assist in compiling data for the annual budget process.
  • Production of monthly management accounts to required standards.

Job description

The role of Finance Assistant is key to our Finance operation. Reporting in to the Finance Manager, you will work closely with both the Finance Business Partner and Finance Manager to deliver robust and value‑added accurate reporting. This role will support all the operational and commercial functions of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and distribute regular (monthly, weekly) accurate and efficient reporting.
  • Provide support to Finance Business Partner and Finance Manager as required, ensuring effective maintenance of internal processes.
  • Handle ad hoc queries and ensure report requests are answered on time and accurately.
  • Understand and use the existing reporting suite to provide detailed report information.
  • Use initiative to feedback on where existing reports could be improved, proactively seeking improvement.
  • Assist in the compilation of data to support the annual budget process.
  • Assist the team in the production of the monthly management accounts, ensuring that they are produced to the standards required and within timetables suitable for both Division and Group purposes.
  • Ensure appropriate department procedures are maintained, updated and documented.

  • Qualified AAT / Bachelor's in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrate advanced skill with the full range of Office programmes, particularly with Excel.
  • Previous experience of working with large datasets – Desirable.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Able to manage competing and changing deadlines.
