Job description

Oversee month‑end close, annual audits, and ensure accurate and timely reporting. Analyse current processes and propose improvements. Support general finance and administrative tasks to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily bookkeeping, including SAGE entries, invoice processing, expenses, VAT returns, and PAYE‑related tasks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external accountants on financial queries and reconciliations.
  • Produce monthly and annual financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, cashflow).
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all finance and administrative matters across multiple international offices.
Ideal Candidate (Qualifications)
  • Fluency in Japanese and English (essential).
  • 3+ years of experience in an accountancy function for an SME.
  • Experience working across multiple currencies (essential).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAGE).
  • Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Positive, can‑do attitude and self‑directed work ethic.
  • Previous experience managing staff is a benefit.
