Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Mechanical Service Engineer based in the Midlands. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the safety of mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have NVQ or City and Guilds qualifications, along with experience working with lifts and conveyors. The position requires site work Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities available. Then please get in touch ! Kingston Barnes are recuiting for a Mechanical Service Engineer to join our client in the Midlands area !

Role Overview

As the Field Service Engineer, you are responsible for the safety and maintenance of all company property allocated to you such as PPE, company van and tools. You must ensure that each piece of equipment is kept in an optimal state with any defects or health and safety concerns being reported to your line manager within a timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring all sitework and servicing requirements are completed on time.
  • Ensuring you are prepared and equipped to complete the planned works.
  • Generating accurate RAMS and submitting on time
  • Generating accurate site reports and submitting on time
  • Supporting other field service engineers as required
  • Communicating with your line manager if overtime needs approving.
  • Maintaining quality standards
  • Ensuring health and safety protocols are always followed.
  • Maintenance of PPE
Requirements
  • NVQ or City and Guilds Mechanical qualifications are essential
  • Background in the service sector is desirable
  • Experience working with mechanical equipment, lifts, conveyors, pumps
Hours

Monday - Friday, 39 hours per week

Stay away is required

Overtime is available, door to door earnings provided and OT is time 1/2
