One of our top water clients is looking for a Field Service Engineer to work on a permanent basis in Immingham.
Our Client has a requirement for a Service Field Engineer, who will be required to work on a staff basis in Immingham.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as the local technical consultant and liaison with customer management and customer representatives at site
- Provides service and support at site.
- Coordinates functions with Area Field Services Lead/Management/Senior FSRs
- Performs water analysis and/or collects samples for preparation, labelling and shipment to designated laboratory for analysis.
- Completes and distributes on site report based on any work carried out at site.
- Troubleshoots and repairs pumps, instruments and control panels.
- Calibrates instrumentation (pH, Conductivity, flow, ORP)
- Conducts preventative maintenance on water treatment plant (UF, RO, EDI, Pumps/motors), chemical feed pumps, controllers and instrumentation.
- Maintains inventory of spare parts (lube oil, tubing, piping, etc.), and adequate supply of spare parts through ordering system.
- Relays Customer feedback to Field Services, Commercial and/or Technical Department.
- Recommends appropriate site procedural and/or policy changes that will help overall effectiveness.
- Is flexible in role and joins on call system for site (1 week in 4) - solely for this site
- Remains on call-out duty if and when required as prescribed by the UKIN team call out schedules
- Conducts training of customer and other personnel to enable them to operate prescribed BOO/Mobile equipment safely and effectively when FSR is not on site.
- Conducts training of company trainees in the various site technical functions encompassed by the position of Field Service Representative.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
- Qualification in a suitable Science, Engineering or technical discipline preferred or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Mechanical based experience from apprenticeships or site experience of maintenance
- A Level or equivalent Chemistry desirable or equivalent knowledge and experience
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Mechanical maintenance experience
- Full UK driving licence
- Work in industrial environment
- Use of safe systems of work (RAMS, permits)
