Overview

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a leading provider of packaging solutions for the food industry in NI and Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, and repair of packaging machinery at customer sites nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission packaging machinery, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.


• Perform routine maintenance to minimise downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.


• Diagnose and repair faults on packaging equipment, often under time pressure.


• Provide technical advice and training to customers on best practices for equipment operation and maintenance.


• Maintain accurate service records, including reports of work performed, parts used, and customer feedback.


• Regular travel to customer sites across NI and Ireland.


• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as the face of the company in the field.


• Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a field service engineering role, preferably in food packaging or food processing.


• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation systems.


• Relevant qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.


• Full, clean driving licence.
