Female Support Worker

Location: Wem, Shropshire

Pay Rate

Sleep in £9.50, Day rate £13.50 & Waking night rate £14.53 per hour (Weekly or Monthly pay)

Shift Pattern

8:00am – 20:00pm and 20:00pm – 8:00am. You must be able to work full time hours at 36 hours per week.

Do you bring calmness, compassion, and confidence behind the wheel? We're looking for a dedicated Support Worker to work with an individual living with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), complex care needs, and mental health challenges, supporting them in their own home.

What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
  • Full manual driving licence
  • You'll be driving an adapted mobility vehicle
  • Confidence supporting someone with mental health needs, a PEG feed, and who uses a wheelchair
  • The ability to support someone whose communication varies
  • Listening beyond words
  • A calm, genuine presence with a great sense of humour and deep respect for others
Your Role

As a Support Worker, you'll provide high‑quality, person‑centred care on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering compassionate, attentive care tailored to individual needs
  • Supporting meaningful activities and encouraging engagement in the community
  • Promoting social interaction and overall well‑being
  • Helping with household tasks to maintain a clean, comfortable, and organised home
  • Communicating clearly and confidently in the person's preferred manner to build trust and connection

We are made up of three specialist divisions: LD&A – Learning Disabilities & Autism, Bespoke, Team Brain Injury. This role sits within our LD&A division, where you'll be supported by an experienced, hands‑on Team Leader. We support adults and children with complex physical and mental health needs across a wide range of settings.
