A healthcare provider based in Hatfield is seeking a Female Support Worker to provide essential care for a young person with complex needs. You will work on a part-time basis, engaging with the individual to ensure their physical and emotional well-being. This rewarding role requires empathy, strong communication skills, and the ability to form a trusting relationship. The company offers extensive support and training opportunities, alongside a generous rewards scheme.
Pay rate: £14 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday (14:30pm - 21:30pm) / Nights (21:30 - 08:30)
We're looking for someone special to share their life with a young person living in their family home in Dunscroft, Doncaster. This vibrant individual has a tracheostomy, uses ventilation, and has a PEG feed, but that's just one part of who they are. They're a creative and expressive person who loves having fun and engaging in activities that bring them joy - just like you might with your own children! As their trusted supporter, you'll play a vital role in enhancing their daily life, providing both practical care and emotional connection.
Your role will be all about building a strong, trusting relationship with this young person, understanding their needs, and supporting them to live life to the fullest. You'll bring a caring and empathetic approach, a willingness to have fun, and a passion for making a real difference in their life. While experience in complex care is desirable, what's most important is that you have a heart for supporting others and a desire to make a impact.
So, what can you expect from your shifts? You'll be working 1:1 with this young person, providing personalised care that's tailored to their unique needs. This will include supporting their physical health, such as tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, and ventilation management, as well as helping with household tasks to create a comfortable and organised living space. Most importantly, you'll be communicating with them in a way that feels natural and respectful, building a strong bond that enriches their life.
