Qualifications

  • Prior experience of coaching or leading a team is essential.
  • Experience of engaging with stakeholders of various levels.
  • IWFM is desirable but not essential as training will be given.

AWE is recruiting for a Facility Specialist (WCC Team Leader)

As Facility Specialist (WCC Team Leader) you will supervise, task and line manage an assigned WCC team on behalf of the Manager WCC, whilst delivering a flexible, varied and robust support function. You will play a vital part in delivering Asset Operations based functionality, whilst ensuring compliance with company processes and procedures.

£37,470 per annum (negotiable dependent on relevant experience / qualifications)

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for delivery of the agreed scope of works, covering an allocated function/facility area, enabling the Asset Operations Management team to ensure maximised availability of assets for programme demanders.
  • Accountable for investigation of any significant issues raised within allocated area and to elevate where necessary to the Manager WCC.
  • To be first point of contact for internal and external customers, auditors, and regulators, for an allocated function/facility area.
  • Carry out the line management function for an assigned group of WCC Direct Reports.
  • Enabling the performance and results of the team. Making sure that team members have the capabilities to get the work done now and in the future.
  • Engaging and inspiring colleagues, promoting a diverse and inclusive environment that encourages them to seek opportunities for continuous improvement and personal development.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure requirements are captured/carried out appropriately for allocated function/facility area.
  • Ensure line management responsibilities for assigned group of Direct Reports within WCC are managed and completed as appropriate.
  • To be the local point of escalation within designated area for any team or customer issues.
  • Respond to and prioritise day‑to‑day workload demands, to assist in maintaining facilities in a safe condition, ensuring maximum availability for use.
Qualifications
  • Able to readily adapt and respond quickly to challenging situations and the changing needs of others.
  • Prior experience of coaching or leading a team is essential.
  • Experience of engaging with stakeholders of various levels, building and maintaining long‑lasting relationships.
  • Ability to self‑motivate with a desire for personal development.
  • IWFM is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH would be beneficial.

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for this role.
