This temporary to permanent position offers a daily salary of up to £100 and requires prior experience as a Teaching Assistant, along with strong knowledge of safeguarding practices.

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who aspires to be a Teacher?

GSL Education is currently looking for an experienced Reception Teaching Assistant for one of our client Primary schools in Newham. The school is looking for someone who can start straight away and has experience working with individuals and small groups of children.

About the Teaching Assistant role:
  • You will be working closely with the class teacher in Reception to motivate and encourage students to reach their full potential.
  • Supporting children with special educational needs
  • Individual support should be provided to students in small groups to ensure learning is taking place
Ideal Teaching Assistant will:
  • Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
  • Support pupils who have special educational needs
  • Have a basic understanding of childhood development and steps to support children of various ages
  • Help pupils to increase their confidence and self-esteem by listening to them and devising appropriate strategies.
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Have good written and oral skills
