A leading acute teaching trust in Southampton seeks a friendly and enthusiastic individual to join their Eye Emergency team. You will provide reception and administrative support to patients in urgent eye care, becoming the first point of contact for walk-in patients. The eye emergency team at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) is delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for a patient‑focussed, friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our small, busy Eye Emergency team to deliver excellent reception and administrative support.
You’ll be the first point of contact for walk‑in emergency and urgent eye care patients in a fast‑paced clinical setting.

All non‑clinical roles may involve a mixture of on‑site and remote working; specific details and flexible working options can be discussed during the interview process. Our department is open 7 days a week, and some weekend and bank holiday work should be expected. Usual shifts are 7.30 am to 8 pm. Confidence in learning and using multiple IT systems is essential, and experience in a front‑facing reception role would be desirable.
