A prestigious educational institution in London seeks invigilators to assist in maintaining examination standards during A Level, IB, and (I)GCSE exams. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational and communication skills, and be available for peak examination periods with a commitment of at least 5 sessions weekly. This is a casual role with training sessions mandated.
Hourly rate: £16.00
Each academic year we require a team of responsible people to assist the head of the department in ensuring JCQ, CAIE and IBO regulations are strictly upheld throughout the summer external examinations season, invigilating A Level, IB and (I)GCSE examinations during late April, May and June. Invigilators are also required for mock examinations which are taken by A level, IB and (I)GCSE candidates in January. Other opportunities to invigilate occur throughout the academic year, including for university admissions tests, school admissions tests, languages and music exams. Invigilators are required to attend initial training, an annual update session, usually in the autumn term prior to mock examinations, and ad hoc briefings and training opportunities.
Our core IB, A level, and (I)GCSE exam sessions, for which all invigilators should be available, are the first two weeks of January (formal mocks) and the 6-7 week period of external summer examinations that take place from the end of April to late June. We ask for a minimum commitment of 5 sessions per week, a session being either a morning or afternoon, and ideally more if possible. We also offer other opportunities throughout the year should members of the invigilation team wish to work additional hours
