This role is office‑based 5 days per week in Brighton, with international travel required for event delivery.

You’ll be joining a leading global media and events organisation providing content, community, and commercial insights across sectors including agribusiness, food processing, hospitality, and retail.

Operating across hubs in Gatwick, Brighton, London, Montpellier, Singapore, and Chicago, the company delivers world‑class business summits in locations such as San Francisco, Dallas, London, Amsterdam, São Paulo, and Singapore.

Their Brighton‑based events team leads the full planning and delivery of these global conferences, with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and industry collaboration. They are now seeking an experienced and passionate Event Manager to support the team during this peak period.

The Role

As Event Manager, you will take responsibility for the end‑to‑end delivery of international B2B summits. This fixed‑term role involves logistical planning, stakeholder management, budgeting, onsite execution, and post‑event reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring tasks, projects and events are delivered on time, in line with budgets and to a high standard.
  • Overseeing the logistics and operations of each event, from venue & AV liaison, hotel room blocks, floorplans, catering, exhibition planning and team travel & accommodation.
  • Running events on the day and overseeing the onsite team, including set‑up, registration, managing delegate queries, venue liaison and AV liaison.
  • Collaborating with event assistants daily on administrative tasks, as well as speaker and stakeholder communications to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Researching, shortlisting, negotiating and contracting new venues, AV companies, internal and external suppliers for upcoming summits.
  • Liaising with speakers, making sure they are fully briefed and engaged during the event lifecycle, gathering photos, biographies and presentations, and setting up preparatory calls with session moderators.
  • Supporting the business development team with client liaison and fulfilment of contract deliverables.
  • Coordinating with the marketing team to plan, contract and deliver digital and printed branding.
  • Overseeing the networking event platform and keeping it up to date in the run up to and during the summit.
The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience managing end‑to‑end event delivery.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Cvent or Swapcard (desirable).
  • Additional languages such as Portuguese, Spanish, Arabic, or Mandarin (an advantage).
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work flexibly around event schedules.
