Job summary

A reputable IT service provider in Manchester seeks an EUC Technician to resolve technical issues for end-users. You will provide 2nd-line support and technical assistance, with responsibilities including hardware and software installations and documenting work. Essential skills include experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS, alongside strong customer service abilities. This full-time position is onsite with no remote working options.

Job description
EUC Technician

Duration : 3 Months

Location : Manchester (Onsite - No remote working)

Rate : 200 per day

IR35 Status : Inside

Start : ASAP

Role Overview

We require 3 EUC Technicians to join a team responsible for delivering a range of end‑user compute (EUC) activities across the business. The role will involve resolving hardware, software and peripheral issues, providing specialist technical support, 2nd‑line support and BAU as required. Candidates must be proficient in installing or removing hardware and/or software, ensuring correct operation of installations, diagnosing and supporting users, and carrying out tests using supplied procedures and diagnostic tools.

Excellent customer service and the ability to document and record all work undertaken are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve hardware, software and peripheral issues for end‑users.
  • Provide specialist technical support and 2nd‑line assistance.
  • Perform installations, removals and configuration of devices.
  • Diagnose problems and support users in making effective use of desktop systems.
  • Document and record all work, conduct tests using diagnostic tools.
  • Work onsite full time each week.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience supporting end‑user compute services, infrastructures and device management.
  • Demonstrable experience in systems administration and configuration.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems.
  • Knowledge of EUD security technologies such as antivirus and firewalls.
  • Experience working on large‑scale technical projects.
  • ITIL Foundation, M365 Administrator or other relevant Microsoft certifications are desirable.
