Qualifications

Job description

Your role will be to look after the fully approved Omexom Tendering Process for Overhead Line Construction and Refurbishment Projects for both DNOs and TNOs in the UK. You will be very familiar with reviewing Invitation to Tender Packs (ITT), whilst travelling around the UK to conduct site visits and meetings to assess and discuss the actual requirements of the enquiry. A background experience in working in an Overhead Line environment up to 400kV is essential.

Responsibilities:

1. Bid Preparation: Develop and review bid proposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications and requirements. Review Invitation to Tenders, collate and present Bid Approval papers, and resolve scope queries.
2. Cost Estimation: Analyse project plans and specifications to estimate costs for labour, materials, and equipment accurately and consistently.
3. Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information.
4. Supplier Management: Solicit and evaluate supplier bids and proposals.
5. Process Improvement: Implement and maintain estimating tools and procedures for continuous improvement.

Higher Qualification within Engineering Discipline - Power / Electrical Engineering.

Over 5 Years' experience preferred.

Practical experience in the application of CDM 2015 Regulations.

HV Engineering experience within a Projects environment, specifically focused on HV OHL Works up to 400kV.

Experience in a commercial bidding and customer facing environment.

Able to work to tight tender submission deadlines with minimum supervision and can demonstrate previous experience of working under pressure.

Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.

An ability to work closely and effectively with the Omexom management and the local project team to achieve challenging targets combined with an ability to work on a self-directed basis.
