Overview

Opportunities for Administrator for Adult Community Services based in the Guildford and Waverley area.

You will join an established administration team at Milford Community Hospital, supporting the Community Peripheral Store, Community Equipment and the Community Co-ordination Centre. The role is suitable for an experienced administrator who is solution focused, works at pace, and is committed to improving patient care and equipment provision. You will work both independently and as part of a team, with a supporting network of professionals including nurses, therapists, administrators and support workers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on the Adult Community Health Services Community Equipment provision, working autonomously and providing process advice and support for different disciplines.
  • Ensure the service is delivered to plan, working closely with clinicians and with the equipment provider to ensure required equipment is available and core processes are followed.
  • Be based within the Community Co-ordination Centre and provide support to its key functions as a referral hub when required.
  • Manage patient data and patient review lists, update processes, and ensure compliance with established procedures in collaboration with the equipment provider and clinical teams.
  • Act as the point of contact for the equipment provider and manage internal communications in this area; communicate detailed information clearly.
  • Demonstrate proactive communication, organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills; work autonomously and with initiative to provide an excellent administration service.
Qualifications
  • Essential: Knowledge acquired through experience and qualifications at NVQ level 4, ECDL or equivalent knowledge; advanced knowledge of computer use, medical terminology, anatomical and physiological terms.
  • Essential: Experience of working in a team; competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); good time management; strong verbal and written presentation skills; experience in using data, including collating, cleansing, analysing and presenting data.
  • Desirable: Experience of working in a health setting; experience using clinical appointment systems (e.g., EMIS, Cerner, System One).
