Overview

Our local authority client, based in the East Midlands, is looking to appoint an experienced Environmental Health (EP) Specialist to cover the following areas.

Responsibilities
  • To write IPPC reports, risk rate premises.
  • To review permits submitted.
  • To complete permit variations.
  • Where required, support technical officers in statutory nuisance investigations.
  • Undertake inspections of premises, business operations, construction sites and permitted processes as required by statute and/or the Authority's policies and procedures, and in line with legal requirements and other statutory/non-statutory controls to ensure a satisfactory resolution, including enforcement action as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Degree in Environmental Health (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge and experience in contaminated land.
  • Knowledge and experience in planning consultations and delivering high quality responses.
Contract details
  • Contract will run for an initial 20 weeks.
  • Full-time is preferred; part-time and flexible work arrangements can be considered.
  • Role can be 50/50 hybrid.
  • Pay rates up to £44 per hour.
