Job summary

A leading project development and construction group is seeking an Engineering Surveyor to join their Infrastructure team in Norwich. The role involves ensuring team safety, developing survey team capabilities, and providing topographical surveys for the A47 road improvement project in partnership with National Highways. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Land Surveying or equivalent experience. This position is vital for enhancing project safety and efficiency while promoting best practices in engineering surveying.

Qualifications

  • ONC / B Tec in Land Surveying or previous experience as a Graduate Engineering Surveyor.
  • Degree in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying, or Technical professional Membership of CICES or equivalent body.
  • Ability to use survey instruments and software.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct training/knowledge for safe work.
  • Develop engineering survey team members.
  • Provide topographical survey and setting out for works.
  • Ensure project has appropriate survey control network.
  • Share expert advice related to engineering surveying.

Skanska, one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society.

In partnership with National Highways, Skanska is delivering the A47 road improvement project aimed at reducing congestion and enhancing safety.We are looking for an Engineering Surveyor to join our Infrastructure team in Norwich to work on this project.

What you'll do :
  • Ensure that the project team have the correct training / knowledge in how to work safely.
  • Develop engineering survey team members to meet project needs.
  • Ensure that the project has the appropriate survey control network to fulfil the construction requirements.
  • Setting out the works in accordance with the contract requirements before work is programmed to commence.
  • Share expert advice and guidance to the members of the engineering survey teams and other parts of the business related to engineering surveying and geospatial best practice.
  • Provide a topographical survey in preparation for engineering works on site, setting out for the works, reports and measures and final survey information.
  • Review with the engineering team that sufficient information is available.
What you'll bring to the role :
  • ONC / B Tec in Land Surveying or previous experience as a Graduate Engineering Surveyor or Engineering Surveying Technician.
  • Ability to use survey instruments, software and working methods.
  • Degree in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying / Technical professional Membership of CICES or equivalent body.
  • Commercial awareness.
