A leading FMCG company is seeking an interim Engineering Planner based in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral. Manpower are currently seeking an interim Engineering Planner, to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.
The position is based in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral easily accessible by train and car. This is a full-time temporary role to last until the end of July 2026, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday to work onsite.
Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £43,954 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.
Reporting to the Engineering Leader, the role of the Engineering Planner is to support the Engineering Leader and the other Operational Leaders in the effective planning of maintenance activities across the Sourcing Unit. The Engineering Planner will play a key role in the ‘Run to Standard’ operational model during Preparation Execution and Standard working phases. During Preparation, the engineering planner will coach Focussed Technicians (FT) through maintenance planning processes, streamlining current PM activities and optimising frequencies as required.
During Deployment and Execution, the planner Schedules weekly tasks from the factory masterplan, modifies tasks when required and arranges engineering resources aligned to the weekly maintenance plan (with FT). Responsibility is also for the implementation and management of agreed maintenance systems to ensure, 3rd party, and critical maintenance activities are planned and managed effectively across the factory.
The Engineering Planner is also responsible for ensuring full compliance to all legal and mandatory engineering requirements and to provide support in analysis to continually improve the equipment reliability and cost effectiveness of the Factory maintenance programme
