The Vacancy

Binnies UK, part of the RSK Group, is recruiting for Engineering Managers to lead engineering teams within our Delivery team.

The engineering teams deliver innovative solutions for projects across the UK. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering solutions to meet scope, cost, and schedule requirements. Travel to various offices and project sites is essential.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Ensure health and safety are prioritized in design development.
  2. Plan, monitor, and control engineering output concerning scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communication, risk, and stakeholder management.
  3. Manage change control and detailed design programs.
  4. Balance the needs of multiple projects.
  5. Provide leadership to project engineers and oversee the technical coordination of multidisciplinary outputs within a digital environment.
  6. Coordinate with internal and external project team members, including procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  7. Participate in or lead client meetings.
  8. Ensure the engineering team adheres to quality systems, design standards, codes, and company policies.
  9. Support continuous improvement and change management initiatives.
  10. Support business development or pursuit activities as needed.
  11. Oversee performance management, mentoring, recognition, and development of team members.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Degree in engineering.
  2. Several years of relevant work experience.
  3. Experience with NEC3/4 PSC project management or contract administration.
  4. Proven leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary teams and implementing positive change.
  5. Motivated to deliver engineering solutions for water, wastewater, and sludge treatment projects.
  6. Experience in a technical engineering leadership role.
  7. Ability to complete pre-employment checks, including background checks, drug screening, and driving record searches, in compliance with laws.
  8. Experience working in a design and build environment with partnering contractors.
  9. Good understanding of digital engineering and its application in project delivery.
