Overview

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our infrastructure team at the Lower Thames Crossing site to oversee the technical aspects of construction for this project.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a position of independence from the delivery team to provide independent judgment.
• From this position of independence, intervention may be necessary to stop works in the case of significant change to construction methodology, sequencing, temporary works, or impact on permanent works, or if excessive ground movements are experienced.
• Overseeing, developing and promoting high quality, safe, innovative and low carbon engineering activities and solutions, for both temporary and permanent works.
• Oversee the technical aspects of construction and ensure the relevant processes and procedures are followed.
• Oversee and promote Skanska's Digital Journey where 3D Design models ONLY are used for successful delivery.
• Oversee, manage, and promote the successful digital handover of the completed project.
• Oversee and manage the project's Quality Assurance Process.
• Oversee and manage all information and data related to the project.

Qualifications

• Degree or alternative higher education qualification in Civil Engineering or considerable time served in a similar role.
• Knowledge and experience of the application of relevant industry specifications such as The Specification for Highway Works.
• Conversant in relevant British and European standards.
• Site construction experience such as structures, geotechnics, earthworks, investigation, materials and quotations.
