At Zopa, our Software Engineering Managers play a key role in the success of our business and the effectiveness of our Engineers. They are passionate about developing people and nurturing them as engineers to build great things and progress their own personal development. You will manage a team of engineers building the platforms and systems that power compelling products for our customers. As a manager, you will be responsible for ensuring your team are engaged and performing as effectively as possible. To do this you will collaborate with Product and other stakeholders as part of strategic planning; as well as have a good heads‑up view of the challenges coming and be responsible for capacity planning, performance management and community building to maximize our ability to meet them. You will drive quality across all stages of the SDLC to ensure quality is central to building software and partner with Delivery to champion our Agile ways of working. The team: Excitingly, we are continuing to grow across several product‑engineering tribes at Zopa which means we need new Engineering Managers across several of our teams! You could be joining our Current Account, Product Enablement or Operation Efficiency teams to take Zopa products and Engineering to the next level. As we move through the interview process we will ensure you meet a range of Zopians from different teams and assess which team you would have the most impact in. Regardless of team, our Engineering Managers work in a hybrid manner so this role will be coming into our London office minimum 2 days a week.
