Qualifications

  • Degree / HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline with a Mechanical, Production, Chemical or Electronics bias.
  • Experience of using AutoCAD / Solid Works or similar package would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Attend daily Engineering Planning meetings to advise progress on key projects.
  • Produce written technical reports and make presentations.
  • Organise & maintain the Core Document Database.
  • Assist with creating Work Instructions.
  • Analyse opportunities to improve performance of existing processes.
  • Contribute to problem resolution.
  • Help justify and deploy new capital plant & equipment.
  • Participate in APQP and PPAP processes.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.

Job description

Strip Tinning Automotive & ST Flex is a leading electronics manufacturing company that specialises in producing high-quality FPC and electrical connectors for various industries, mainly Automotive.

Our Engineering Department has a challenging opportunity for you to gain a breadth of knowledge about the many processes that make up the operations of Strip Tinning.

Additionally, you will gain experience and a better understanding of how a Manufacturing organisation operates and remains compliant to challenging Automotive procedures and demands.

Responsibilities
  • Attend daily Engineering Planning meetings to advise progress on key projects
  • Produce written technical reports and make presentations to communicate projects & activities
  • Organise & maintain the Strip Tinning Limited Core Document Database
  • Assist with creating Work Instructions to allow roll out of the Model Manufacturing Cell concept
  • Analyse opportunities to reduce variation, improve capabilities and optimise performance of existing processes
  • Help develop best practice and innovative solutions to improve productivity and quality
  • Positively contribute to 8D problem resolution process when required
  • Use problem solving techniques to enable root cause close out of process SQDC issues
  • Help Engineering team to justify and deploy new capital plant & equipment to improve current process OEE metrics
  • Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) processes
  • Carry out support work to ensure continued STL compliance with IATF16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Standards
  • Be an effective team member - work with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow with maximum output
  • Modify / Update BOM
Qualifications

Degree / HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline, ideally with a Mechanical, Production, Chemicaland Electronics bias
