Job Role: Mechanical Engineer

Location: HMP Huntercombe (RG9)

Salary: £41,818.21 (+ an additional 5% basic salary for shift and weekend work)

Contract: Full time - Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Huntercombe, a category C male prison. Join a supportive team working Monday to Sunday to create a safe environment. HMP Huntercombe operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds to keep it functioning. Our Facilities Maintenance Team is committed to ensuring smooth and safe operations, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a secure environment.
