A leading recruitment agency seeks an End Point Assessor (EPA) for Gas Engineering Operative standards. This part-time role offers flexible hours, allowing assessors to choose assignments based on availability. Candidates should have recent experience in gas engineering, ideally to Level 3, and an assessor qualification, for which funding support is available. Responsibilities include conducting assessments and ensuring fair, unbiased evaluation of evidence. This role can complement existing positions or fit within a broader portfolio of activities.
END POINT ASSESSOR (EPA) - GAS ENGINEERING OPERATIVE

V Selective are recruiting on behalf of an Ofqual recognised Apprenticeship End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO). As an organisation they are committed to quality, and deliver a rigorous apprenticeship end point assessment service. Their service helps to ensure that apprentices, working within a range of industries, are able to do the job they are trained for. Key industries they support include Gas, Power, Water, and Nuclear.
They currently require End Point Assessors for the Gas Engineering Operative standard, to join their bank of Independent End Point Assessors.
Gas engineering involves the safe installation, commission, decommission and ongoing service and repair of gas appliances in either a domestic or non-domestic setting. Appliances can include but are not limited to a range of work categories such as central heating boilers, unvented hot water storage, ducted air heaters, cookers, space heaters, meters, alternative fuel, boosters, and testing and purging for industrial pipework.
The is offered on a flexible / zero hours contract. The hours available vary dependent on demand, and registered EPAs always have a choice to accept assignments based on their availability. This role may be undertaken complementary to an existing substantive position with the permission of your current employer or within a wider portfolio of activities.

Upon taking assignments from the Service Delivery team, you will deliver end-point assessment for the relevant apprenticeship standard and assessment method you are approved for.
You will undertake (remotely or directly) end point assessment activities (which may include practical observations and technical interviews), awarding a preliminary grade and ensuring that all assessment decisions are fair, objective, free of bias and based on all relevant evidence presented.
You will accurately record the outcomes of all end point assessment activity using assessment material submitting these records within required timescales.
