Job description
Responsibilities
  • Ensure contractual compliance with all engineering delivery and governance of contract requirements, and organise the site team to meet contractual agreements.
  • Monitor and ensure all training requirements of engineering personnel are kept up to date and compliant.
  • Assist regional leads in the preparation of emergency and contingency plans.
  • Oversight of all contract activities, both maintenance and projects, ensuring all safety aspects are managed and monitored in accordance with site procedures and requirements.
  • Assist site teams with budget documentation as required for client approvals.
  • Undertake tasks associated with staff during peak workloads and provide holiday and sickness cover for the engineering senior team.
  • Staff supervision, including full‑time, part‑time, matrix reports, sub‑contractors and specialist providers.
  • Be proactive and provide technical guidance in relation to preventative maintenance and extra works delivery.
  • Comply with all procedures and maintain clear & legible records as required.
  • Be available to manage emergency out‑of‑hour escalations and provide written incident reports as required.
  • Manage and coordinate office support staff, providing information as required for compliance reporting and operations.
  • Review and sign off detailed planning of IST testing activities in conjunction with the local team.
  • Coordinate test windows with internal clients, including documentation control and management (PTP Tracker Monthly).
  • Follow up on defects found, remediation, revalidation and collate evidence that these defects are corrected.
  • Support the critical environments manager and engineering teams to keep critical activities up to date: implement and validate playbook procedures; advise on operational risks; update battery & capacitor trackers; complete annual plant condition assessments; maintain critical spares inventory; update PPM plan against statutory maintenance sheets; review CMMS maintenance plan and delivery.
  • Oversee change requests required for all works on services that may impact critical works.
  • Conduct fire systems testing and record results.
  • Close all actions assigned from audits and assurance visits; produce gap plans and track progress.
  • Provide monthly critical environment reporting for the EMEA sites to JPMC GRE and DCO.
  • Personnel management of direct reports and oversee indirect report management as required.
  • Participate in succession planning, development requirements and training as assigned by Engineering Management.
  • Travel to any location operated by JPMC in EMEA, including short‑notice emergency travel.

Core Support Team Competency Framework & Qualifications
  • Multilingual – local language with fluent English (both written and spoken).

  • Trade qualified in the engineering discipline (essential).
  • Authorised Person (High Voltage / Mechanical Systems / Confined Space) – desirable.
  • Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or recognised equivalent – desirable.
