Overview

Shift Engineer - Electrical • The Wellington Hospital, London • Full-time, 40 hours per week

Shifts are Monday–Sunday, Day shift 08:00–16:30, Late shift 11:00–19:30. On-call 1 in 8 weeks and 1 in 4 late shifts. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

What you'll do
  • Provide a high standard of workmanship maintaining the existing electrical structure and fabric of the building on a daily basis
  • Work to a planned preventative maintenance system in accordance with a programme of work as directed by the Estates Manager / Chief Engineer
  • Provide an emergency call-out service outside normal working hours as part of the Estates department shift rota
  • Be responsible for all tools, equipment and uniform provided by the company
  • Undertake other duties as may be directed by the Estates Manager / Chief Engineer
What you'll bring
  • Training in relevant discipline e.g. City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 Electrical or equivalent
  • A good understanding of electrical systems
  • Relevant Qualifications (C&G or Equivalent to level 2 or level 3)
  • Previous experience of working in the electrical maintenance industry, ideally within a hospital
