Overview

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Kettering

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Holidays: 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Role

Pin Point Recruitment are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a manufacturing company based in Kettering.

Responsibilities
  • Act as first-line support for electrical issues, ensuring machines are running safely and efficiently.
  • Carry out planned, reactive, and ongoing maintenance across plant equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery, control panels, and associated equipment.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns, prioritising repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Support continuous improvement and preventative measures to optimise machine availability.
  • Work with engineering teams and external contractors on repairs, parts, and maintenance schedules.
  • Use Shire System software to update PPM schedules and repair records.
Requirements
  • Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC, or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable).
  • Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), inverters, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience in the printing industry with Goss Web, Heidelberg Sheetfed presses, guillotines, folders, and stitching lines is desirable.
