Qualifications

You will be joining ATAC Solutions, a well-established specialist in wastewater treatment and pumping systems. You will be part of a collaborative engineering team delivering innovative, sustainable solutions for the water, utilities and environmental sectors. What you will be doing day to day

As an Electrical Engineer (Production), you will be hands‑on in both the workshop and on customer sites, contributing directly to the build and reliability of hire fleet and build‑to‑buy systems. You will be doing things such as:

  • Wiring and integrating electrical components including pumps, sensors, instrumentation, control cables and distribution assemblies
  • Supporting installation, testing, commissioning and fault‑finding of electrical systems
  • Carrying out electrical modifications and upgrades to existing hire equipment
  • Preparing systems for factory acceptance tests and commissioning
  • Working closely with mechanical engineers to deliver complete system builds
  • Performing continuity testing, insulation resistance testing and functional checks
  • Assisting with wiring of small control panels and junction boxes
  • Labelling cables, ensuring correct terminations and maintaining high wiring standards
  • Reviewing supplier‑built panels for compliance and supporting their integration
  • Completing electrical test sheets, build records and compliance documentation
  • Following safety procedures, testing standards and compliance requirements
  • Feeding back electrical improvements and issues to the production team

What you need to bring with you

To succeed as an Electrical Engineer (Production), you will already have strong practical electrical experience. You will ideally have:

Essential
  • Experience wiring pumps, instruments, MCCs or small control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Experience fault‑finding and testing low‑voltage electrical systems
  • Strong hands‑on electrical workshop skills
  • An electrical engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)
  • A full UK driving licence
Desirable
  • Experience in water, wastewater, temporary pumping or environmental equipment
  • ECS or CSCS card and 18th Edition knowledge
  • Exposure to industrial panels, PLC interfaces or instrumentation
  • PAT testing or electrical compliance experience
  • Confined Space, EUSR Water Hygiene or utility passports
  • Lifting equipment or forklift certifications
