Job summary

A leading contractor in the UK water sector is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer. The successful candidate will design and develop electrical and control systems for water treatment projects, work with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with technical standards. A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline is required, along with strong problem-solving skills and familiarity with PLCs and SCADA systems. This role offers 40 hours a week and opportunities to stay updated with the latest technologies.

Qualifications

  • Experience in EICA design engineering (water/wastewater preferred).
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Previous control panel design experience without formal qualifications may be considered.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Control Panel Design team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical, instrumentation, and control systems for water and wastewater treatment projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet technical, safety, and regulatory standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically skilled engineer who enjoys problem-solving and delivering innovative solutions. You will be involved in every stage of the design process from concept development to commissioning support while staying up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in automation and control systems.

The successful candidate will work 40 hours a week.
