Job summary

A leading environmental services company in Reading is seeking Electrical Technicians and Commissioning Engineer Apprentices to learn and develop skills needed for installations, maintenance, and testing in a nuclear environment. Successful candidates will work alongside experienced electricians and engineers, gaining hands-on experience and starting a promising career while adhering to safety and quality standards. Minimum qualifications include 5 GCSEs at grade C or above and an interest in electrical systems. The work environment is supportive and collaborative.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an electrical installation level 2 or equivalent training - Desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C / 4 or above, including English, Maths, and a science or technical subject - Essential.
  • CSCS card for the relevant trade - Desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support qualified electricians in the installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of electrical systems.
  • Perform first and second fixing works.
  • Work from electrical schematics, diagrams, and drawings.

Skills

Interest in electrical installation, maintenance, inspection & testing
Competent user of MS Office
A keen to learn and work with electrical systems
Able to read and follow instructions and electrical drawings
Able to work well as a team member
Good communication with colleagues and contractors

Education

Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C / 4 or above
