EH&S Compliance & Improvement Coordinator

Location: Worcester

Contract: 6-month role (Inside IR35)

Reports To: Asset Planning and Workshop Manager

I am looking for a proactive Workshop EH&S Compliance & Improvement Coordinator for our Engineering Workshop in Worcester. This full-time, on-site position focuses on enhancing our Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) culture and ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations. The ideal candidate has EH&S qualifications, with safety compliance experience in a manufacturing and or workshop environment, who enjoys improving processes and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain risk assessments for workshop activities and equipment.
  • Create and update Workshop Work Instructions.
  • Propose and implement safety and efficiency improvements.
  • Manage the disposal of obsolete materials as per EH&S policies.
  • Address corrective actions from EH&S audits and inspections.
  • Ensure workshop procedures are clear and consistently followed.
  • Prepare documentation for audits.
  • Maintain accurate EH&S records.
  • Improve and organize the workshop layout following change management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
  • Experience in EH&S, workshop operations, or technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and safety standards.
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience in process improvement is a plus.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.

The basic PAYE gross pay rate for this role is £17.00 per hour, based on 39 hours per week. Working on site Monday to Thursday 7am to 3:30pm and Friday 7am to 2pm, which is niche for the weekend. There is possible weekend work and overtime available which is paid at 1.5x rate for Saturday and 2x the rate for Sundays. This role is Inside IR35 and we will payroll the successful applicant directly.
