EC&I Engineer

Work as part of the Maintenance team to ensure the Top Tier COMAH site is operating in a safe and productive manner and maintain and improve undertaking all duties in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and working to all relevant standards.

Responsibilities
  • Creating EC&I drawings (e.g.,), technical specifications, and documents.
  • Producing and checking various documents like risk registers, method statements, and technical files for new equipment.
  • Participating in design reviews, and contributing to.
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, legislation, and project requirements, including safety and functional safety aspects.
  • Checking the quality of design deliverables and ensuring they meet the required standards.
  • Supporting the commissioning process, potentially including site visits and overnight stays.
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues, often requiring a proactive and practical approach.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems effectively.
Qualifications
  • HNC/HND or degree in Electrical, Control or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in an EC&I or similar engineering role within a chemical, process, or manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA systems and associated software.
  • Experience with COMAH and hazardous area installations (ATEX / DSEAR).
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
