Job summary

A care service provider in Northern Ireland is offering a position to assist clients in their own homes, promoting independence and delivering personal care. This role involves monitoring health changes, support with daily activities, and requires a valid driving license. The position demands flexibility for various shifts, including weekends, and offers £12.45 per hour on weekdays and higher rates on weekends and bank holidays. Qualifications

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Completion of an Access NI Enhanced Disclosure.
  • Registration with The Northern Ireland Social Care Council.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Must have full valid driving licence and access to car.
  • Prior experience as a Care Worker preferred.

  • Help with meal preparation and feeding if necessary.
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up.
  • Accompany clients to appointments and outings.
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients health or behaviour.
Job description

The aim of the position is to enable service users to remain safely in their own home with as much independence as possible. Alongside providing care and support in a professional, discreet and caring manner, always ensuring the service user's right to privacy and dignity is maintained. Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Please note the role entails lifting and transferring clients if needed.
  • Completion of an Access NI Enhanced Disclosure.
  • Registration with The Northern Ireland Social Care Council.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Must have full valid driving licence and access to car in order to travel to client's homes.
  • Prior experience as a Care Worker or in a similar role is preferred, but not required (training will be provided for the right candidate).
Further Information

Work Time: 30 plus hours per week including mornings, evenings and weekends. Must be flexible to work every other weekend shift pattern. Salary: Monday to Friday £12.45 per hour. Saturday to Sunday £13.35 per hour. Bank Holidays: £13.50 per hour.
