Qualifications

Job description

Woodlands Care Centre are recruiting into their housekeeping team, for Domestic and Laundry Assistants.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that the removal of all waste is in accordance with the agreed procedures.
  • Clean all floor areas, damp dusting and thorough cleaning of all furniture, fixtures and fittings (moving light equipment if necessary).
  • Clean all sanitary areas.
  • Clean internal paintwork, doors, window frames, skirting boards and other surfaces.
  • Abide by all COSHH regulations, colour coding and to clean and store all domestic equipment in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Adhere to the cleaning schedule and work as part of a team, attending staff meetings and training if required.
  • Respect client’s independence, privacy and dignity.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Foster good working relationships and communicate effectively with all grades of staff.
  • Maintain business and client confidentiality.
  • Take care of the building and report any defects or repairs.
  • Carry out deep cleaning throughout the home as required.
  • Adhere to IP&C regulations.
  • Before the end of shift, check that all floors have sufficient linen (towels/bedding, etc.).

Working a rota covering 7 days per week.
