Overview

My client is currently seeking a Logistics & Dispatch Coordinator to join a manufacturing environment supporting the shipment of assemblies and finished products. This role plays a key part in ensuring on-time delivery performance while operating in line with lean and environmentally conscious logistics practices.

The position would suit someone with hands-on dispatch or warehouse experience who is comfortable coordinating shipments, managing export documentation, and working closely with manufacturing and sales teams.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the daily despatch of assemblies and finished products in line with production output
  • Liaise with manufacturing teams to identify goods ready for shipment and prioritise workloads
  • Communicate with internal sales teams to ensure accurate and timely customer delivery information
  • Produce daily and weekly shipment plans to support on-time delivery targets and KPIs
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Ensure products are packaged securely and in an environmentally responsible manner
  • Maximise the use of reusable packaging and ensure waste materials are disposed of correctly in line with environmental standards
  • Prepare and manage export documentation to support international shipments
  • Maintain compliance with company quality, environmental, and health & safety procedures
The Candidate
  • Previous experience in a logistics, dispatch, warehouse, or materials handling role
  • Forklift (Counterbalance) licence or experience preferred
  • Good numeracy, literacy, and general IT skills
  • Confident using courier platforms and shipment software for domestic and international deliveries
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt and find practical solutions
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and communicating across departments
Salary

Up to £27,00 per annum, depending on experience
