Digital Retail UX Designer

Swindon Area - Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week

5 Month Contract

Lorien is currently recruiting for a Digital Retail UX Designer to join on a 5 month initial contract, inside IR35.

As a Digital Retail UX Designer, you'll take ownership of digital design strategies across a variety of user experiences, playing a key role in advancing my client's global retail vision. You'll focus on shaping a wide range of user journeys to support our products, acquisition and retention, using insights to inform strategy and deliver high‑quality, impactful experiences. You'll collaborate with a variety of local and global teams influencing cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency across projects.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the vision for innovative products and services, aligning with senior functional leads
  • Reviewing and evolving new concepts and ideas against our store expectations and ensuring that our online customer experience is reflected within our retail spaces.
  • Defining new and improved ways of creating a seamless connection between our website, app and our physical space, with relevant digital touch points
  • Drive the design vision for new digital experiences using emerging technologies (AI, XR)
  • Champion design thinking and user‑centered approaches throughout the innovation process
  • Develop frameworks and methods for exploring future digital experience opportunities

The skills required in order to be successful in the position you will bring UX design experience, including owning the design and development of end‑to‑end journeys and:

  • You are comfortable working on complex projects or features, giving strategic input and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
  • You are an expert in UX/UI, human‑centred design, digital and physical prototyping.
  • Your excellent communication and storytelling skills help you align with stakeholders, and your collaborative mindset enables you to contribute meaningfully to fast‑paced projects.
