Job description

We’re seeking an experienced PMO Analyst to join a dynamic Digital team within a busy NHS Hospital Trust in the North West of England. You’ll play a key role in supporting a high‑profile Electronic Patient Record (EPR) implementation programme alongside a broad portfolio of BAU digital projects/programmes. This is a fast‑paced, delivery‑focused environment where your governance, planning, and reporting expertise will enable safe, timely, and value‑driven outcomes for patients and staff.

What You’ll Do
  • Governance & Assurance
    • Maintain and continuously improve programme/project governance frameworks, standards, and controls.
    • Facilitate stage gates, change control, quality reviews, and compliance with Trust and national standards.
  • RAID Management
    • Own the RAID process log, track, and actively manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
    • Coordinate mitigation actions, elevate appropriately, and provide clear status visibility to stakeholders.
  • Planning & Scheduling
    • Develop and maintain integrated programme and project plans (milestones, critical path, dependencies).
    • Support resource planning, capacity tracking, and forward look/rolling wave planning.
  • Reporting & Insights
    • Produce insightful reports and dashboards for steering groups and boards (RAG status, KPIs, milestones, benefits, risks).
    • Translate complex delivery status into clear, actionable insights for clinical, operational, and digital leaders.
  • Delivery Support
    • Support project managers and workstream leads across EPR and BAU portfolios with set‑up, onboarding, and delivery discipline.
    • Coordinate workshops, maintain documentation repositories, ensure version control and audit readiness.
  • Benefits & Change Readiness
    • Assist in defining benefits baselines, tracking realisation, and aligning with clinical safety and operational readiness plans.
    • Help ensure change impacts, communications, and training plans are aligned with delivery timelines.
About you (skills & experience)
Required
  • Proven experience as a PMO Analyst in complex digital and/or NHS programme environments.
  • Strong capability across governance, RAID management, planning, reporting, and delivery support.
  • Proficient with PMO toolsets (e.g., MS Project/Planner, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint/Teams; exposure to Power BI an advantage).
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, comfortable working with clinical, operational, and technical teams.
  • Highly organised, detail‑oriented, and proactive, with a focus on outcomes and continuous improvement.
Desirable
  • Experience in EPR implementations (e.g., Cerner/Oracle, Epic, Allscripts/Altera, Meditech, System C, etc.).
  • Familiarity with NHS governance (e.g., clinical safety, IG, change control, financial controls).
  • Knowledge of project delivery methodologies (PRINCE2, MSP, Agile/Hybrid delivery).
