Digital Marketing Manager

Location: Cannock, Staffordshire / hybrid

Contract Type: Temporary 12-month contract (maternity cover)

Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 per annum depending on skills and experience

Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

As one of the UK's leading charities providing essential specialist equipment to children with disabilities, Newlife is dedicated to making life better - for the families we serve, and for the people who help us to make that happen.

Through grants and emergency equipment loans, we ensure children get the vital equipment they need, when they need it, while our free nurse helpline offers crucial support and information - as well as a listening ear. Our campaigns help to give children with disabilities and their families a voice, advocating for change to benefit the families we serve. And we support adults with additional needs with volunteering and employment opportunities, providing an introduction to the workplace and a means for career development.

The role

We have an exciting opportunity for a digital marketing professional to join our growing team at Newlife as our Digital Marketing Manager (12-month maternity cover). If you meet some or all of the following criteria, we'd love to hear from you:

What you'll do:

  • Oversee the management, optimisation, and development of a new website to ensure a first-class user experience for families, supporters, donors, and retail customers.
  • Lead the development and delivery of digital marketing campaigns to grow reach, engagement, and income.
  • Plan, deliver, and report on social media advertising, Google Ads Grant campaigns, and other paid digital activity.
  • Create compelling content, including photography, video, and graphics (for use across websites, email, and social channels).
  • Monitor and analyse digital performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Microsoft Clarity, and other tools to drive improvements.
  • Manage the digital marketing budget effectively to maximise impact.
  • Line manage and support our Social Media Officer, fostering a high-performance and creative environment.
  • Keep up to date with emerging digital trends and recommend new opportunities.

What we're looking for:

  • A track record of delivering elements of digital transformation or large-scale web projects.
  • Strong technical skills with WordPress, Google Ads, Meta Ads, and analytics tools.
  • Creative flair and experience producing high-quality photography, video, and graphics (Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, report on KPIs, and adjust strategies for maximum impact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences.
  • Collaborative approach with the confidence to lead projects and manage stakeholders.
